Corona and ISIS Au pair insurance

• My au pair is still at home and will not come to the Netherlands because of the Corona virus. I have incurred all kinds of costs such as a ticket and want to cancel it. These kinds of costs are not insured on the au pair insurance.
• The au pair is in the Netherlands and wants to go home early due to the Corona virus in the Netherlands. Additional costs must be incurred to ensure that the au pair can go home. Such extra costs are not covered by the au pair insurance.
• Suppose my au pair receives notice that a first or second degree relative has died, what do I do? Then the au pair may return home for the funeral. The Emergency Center will arrange additional transportation in such cases. This coverage also applies if the family member died and was infected with Corona (COVID-19). In such cases, call the Alarm Center, telephone number is +31 (0) 182 544 557.
• The au pair needs to be hospitalized and is infected with Corona. Will the medical expenses be reimbursed? Emergency medical care is insured provided the All-in coverage is active. If you have Additional coverage, the au pair must use the Basic Health Insurance. However, you can recover the excess of the basic insurance from the Au pair insurance.
• My au pair went on a trip to a country other than the Netherlands during the au pair program intake. During that trip, she fell ill and needs to be hospitalized. Will the medical expenses be reimbursed? With All-in coverage, the medically unforeseen costs are covered. With Additional coverage, the medically unforeseen costs that are not paid by the Dutch basic insurance are covered. For both All-in and Additional coverage, medical expenses due to the Coronavirus are not covered if someone travels to an area for which the Ministry has issued Code Orange or Red (see the Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advisory).
• The au pair is still at home and has cancelled coming to the Netherlands. I have already arranged Au pair insurance for her which is now no longer needed. Can I cancel the insurance? You can cancel this insurance because the au pair is no longer coming, this is no problem. You will get the premium back from us. However, you must inform us before the scheduled start date of the insurance.
• The au pair's travel plans have been changed due to Corona and I have to rebook a flight and incur additional costs for this. These extra costs are not covered on the au pair insurance.
• The au pair is in the Netherlands and has had to reschedule the return trip home. As a result, the au pair is staying in the Netherlands longer and has to incur additional expenses to stay in the Netherlands. Will the accommodation costs be reimbursed? These types of accommodation costs are not covered.
• The au pair is in the Netherlands and has had to reschedule the return trip home. As a result, the au pair will stay in the Netherlands longer. Will she remain insured? You do need to inform us about a longer stay because the insurance may need to be extended to prevent the au pair from being uninsured.
