My name is Thanawan Udompracharak, you can call me Zins for short. I am 24 years old and was born and raised in Surat Thani, a province in southern Thailand. I studied and graduated from Bangkok University, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, majoring in English. I grew up in a warm family. My grandparents and my mother have always been the ones who supported me in every aspect of my life. I previously worked on Koh Lanta in Krabi Province as a receptionist on a shortterm contract. I met European people and learned many things about their culture. I also learned how to deal with customers and the many challenges that come with serving customers every day. This experience helped me gain a better understanding of European culture. I consider myself a cheerful and caring person who always thinks of others. I am easy-going and can adapt well to different situations. Although my facial expression may sometimes make me look serious or unfriendly, I am actually someone who can get along with almost everyone easily. I can adapt quickly to new environments, and I always prioritize my responsibilities. I am also a huge animal lover, especially dogs. I have loved dogs since I was a child. I always treat others with respect and kindness. I believe in being polite, considerate, and humble when interacting with people, and I try to treat everyone with the same level of respect. I have been interested in history, architecture, and Greek mythology since I was a child. One of my academic achievements was having my final project selected as one of the top five outstanding projects in the course. The project was based on the love story of Cupid and Psyche from Greek mytholog Another thing is that I enjoy cooking. I often cook for my family. Some of the dishes I make include Khanom Jeen with chicken curry using my grandmother’s recipe, green curry, Thai basil stir-fry, and fried rice with different kinds of meat. The dish that everyone who tries it seems to love is my homemade Thai-style dry sukiyaki. I am interested in European culture and would love the opportunity to experience it firsthand with my host family. I believe that living with a local family is one of the best ways to learn about a culture, because it allows you to see everyday life, traditions, and values in a way that you cannot learn from books or the internet. I also want to improve my English and develop my childcare skills. I believe becoming an Au Pair will help me become more independent, gain valuable life experience, and grow both personally and professionally. At the same time, I am excited to share my own Thai culture and create meaningful memories with my host family. After completing the Au Pair program, I plan to return to Thailand and continue working in the hospitality industry. However, I would like to work in a childcarerelated role, such as looking after children or working as an hourly babysitter in a five-star hotel. I intend to build my life and career in Bangkok after returning from the Au Pair program. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and get to know me a little better. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I would be happy to tell you more about myself. I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to getting to know your family. Yours Sincerely, Thanawan Udompracharak
