Hanneke van Wijk "South Africa"
Hannah ( First language English , second Afrkaans) , lives in Cape Town with her family that consists of her mom (58) owner of a rehabilitation Centre called “House of Hope”, her dad a contractor in the building industry (50) and 5 brothers (13, 24, 26, 28 and 35).
I would describe Hannah as caring, loving, Proactive and Someone who can comfortably take on leadership roles. Money was scarce throughout her high school years. This led to Hannah not being able to attend special school events such as “Prom” and as any scholar would be she was extremely upset and broken but it was these very emotions that blossomed into a brilliant idea in 2016 when she completed high school. She started her own Non-Profitable Organization called “Help a Sista out Foundation” The aim of the Organization is to help and assist young ladies who are in the same situation as she was. She sponsors them dresses, shoes, accessories, cars and everything else they may need to attend their prom. She was also the Co-Chairperson of a Christian group on school called Accept Christ Every day”. They would visits the less fortunate and hand out small hampers that include all the necessities. She is also currently working as a mangers assistant at Mikayla’s Stationery Boutique.
People trust Hannah with their children because she matured quite fast. She babysat children of all ages. Batching them, feeding them, dressing them and keeping them happy and entertained. It’s her patience and ability to always show love, multi-task and being a good listener that makes her perfect for the job!
By selecting Hannah to be your next Aupair you are giving your children a big sister with their interest at heart. You are also giving Hannah the opportunity to gain more wisdom experiencing a new culture first hand.
After successfully completing her Aupair year she wishes to return to South Africa and study towards a degree in foundation phase teaching.
