Anechia Cloete ''South Africa''
Anechia Cloete lives in Vredendal, which is about 254 km from Cape Town. Her family consists of her father Andre (42) a forklift driver for Vredendal winery and her sister Deandri (11) a grade 5 student. Her mother Dericka sadly passed away when Anechia was only 10 years old.
She completed high school in 2017 at Vredendal Senior Secondary School. She is very good in athletics and a traditional dance called the “Riel dance”.
In her free time, you can find her spending time with friends, jogging and or reading. She says she would never call herself a chef but she can prepare meals like pasta, chicken, stews, and fries. She is also very much open to learning Dutch cuisine.
After the death of her mother, she had to grow up fast and help her father care for her younger sister. It was through this experience where she discovered her love for children. Some days she also babysat the children of the neighbors from the tender age of newborn up to today where they are now a big 4 and 8 years old. Her duties would be to bath them, preparing meals, playing with them, helping with homework and putting them to bed. She says children brings out the good within herself through laughter.
The idea of living in the Netherlands for one year has always been appealing to her. Not only would she be able to emerge herself with the culture but also be able to learn the language and be able to indulge herself with the huge variety of delicious cheese.
Anechia is a humble, friendly, loving, caring and a very passionate young woman. I think any host family would benefit highly with her in their home as the Aupair. She understands the duties of an Aupair very well and is determined to strive at the task.
After successfully completing her Aupair year, she wishes to come back to South Africa and study to become either a teacher and or a physiotherapist so that she would always have the opportunity to work with children.
